    No so much, thank you.

  2. Timothy Fountain says:

    The Goldberg article is … well … crazy. So are the comments.
    It assumes that a bunch of right wing Christians are running around killing everyone else (check me on this by reading Goldberg’s final paragraphs).
    Meanwhile, Christians continue to be one of the most demonstrably persecuted groups in the world – with the force of governments and religion used against them on just about every continent.

  3. A Floridian says:

    The powerful prayers and grand rhetoric, shining hope of Tuesday is over replaced by ugly reality only two days later.

    Today, while thousands marched on the 36th March for Life, on the 36th Anniversary of Roe vs Wade, commemorating the deaths of 50 million unborn children, only blocks away, Obama signed an act that commits US funds (we don’t have) to pay for abortions in foreign countries. Interesting contrast that. Interesting timing.

    If he is silent, one must assume Rick Warren consents to this. The same will be assumed of every other silent citizen, clergy or laity. Silence is collusion and complicity.

    The hopeful words of the Inaugural speech and the prayers of Tuesday, coupled with the actions of Thursday are dizzying, confusing, bizarre and unpleasantly familiar – like all those Anglican documents and agreements…Dar es Salaam, Windsor, etc.

  4. Spiro says:

    President Obama is against “torture” of unlawful combatants and terrorist at Gitmo;
    But he is IN SUPPORT of, and is actively promoting and enforcing, with his Executive powers and authority, the torture and dismembering of innocent babies in the womb.
    All the Christians running around at this inauguration and beating their chest in pride for “ wiping away the collective white guilt” of this nation MUST have to answer to the Lord for their silence on this very important MATTER of ABORTION and the MURDERING OF THE INNOCENT.
    Less than a month ago, we were all reading of, and denouncing King Herod for his murdering of the Innocents following the birth of Christ. Everyone who supports abortion, actively or passively, shares is as guilty as Obama – may be a little less, but guilty nonetheless.
    Rick Warren, now that you are in the media glare, use your newly found fame and speak out forcefully on this issue – just as you unapologetically prayed in the Name of Our Lord and in front of millions worldwide.
