  1. Ralph says:

[blockquote]Convinced that civil marriage equality for same-gender couples is the wave of the future, Integrity calls on the Episcopal Church be on the right side of history by moving forward on ecclesiastical marriage equality during General Convention in Anaheim this July.[/blockquote]

And the Glory of YHVH went out from the threshold of the House and stood above the cherubim. (Ezek 10:18)

Let Elohim arise! Let His enemies be scattered, and let those who hate Him flee from before Him. (Ps 68:1)

May God empower us to rebuild His desecrated temple, that it might be fit for Him to enter into it again, and reign as King, forever and ever. Amen.

  2. A Floridian says:

Amen, Ralph. Let Christ empower us to defend His Church, stand upon His Word, to guard and live His Truth, Love and Life.

Let us courageously offer the True and Efficaceous Gospel of Jesus Christ without fear or apology.
Jesus Christ is The More Excellent and only way to abundant earthly life and of eternal life.

  3. Br. Michael says:

Well, the question now is why should the state even recognize marriage? Why should couples (or triples etc. for that matter) be privileged over singles or couples living together?

  4. Harvey says:

Is it possible that the “..wide road leading to destuction..” has just become wider than it was before.

  5. D. C. Toedt says:

Ralph [#1] quotes the psalm: “Let Elohim arise! Let His enemies be scattered, and let those who hate Him flee from before Him.”

Um, be sure to let us know how that works out – and give some thought to Deut. 18.21-22: “You may say to yourselves, ‘How can we know when a message has not been spoken by the LORD ?’ If what a prophet proclaims in the name of the LORD does not take place or come true, that is a message the LORD has not spoken. That prophet has spoken presumptuously. Do not be afraid of him.”

  6. FenelonSpoke says:

Does the Supreme Court regard itself as a Prophetical wing of the Hebrew people now?

  7. Ralph says:

Given that the Hebrew and Christian Scriptures, as well as the rabbinic and Christian traditions uniformly and unequivocally condemn homosexual practice, and provide no positive examples of same – it would not seem presumptuous to observe that what the Supreme Court of Iowa has written is not of YHVH.

  8. robroy says:

Is a constitutional amendment in the works? How about a move to impeach the judges? Where can I contribute?

  9. D. C. Toedt says:

Ralph [#7], in my # 5 I meant you, not the Iowa S. Ct.

  10. Ralph says:

I am not prophet, priest, or king. Just an ordinary TEC pewsitter watching the devil attempt to dismantle our society, and destroy our relationship with God. YHVH dwells among a people who seek purity and holiness. Like those of old, we shall rebuild and reconsecrate the Temple so that it is a fit dwelling place for God (Father, Son, and Holy Spirit), whom we willingly serve, and who serves us.

The judges are lawyers, correct? I needn’t say more.

    Signing off, Rafe

  11. D. C. Toedt says:

Ralph [#10], when you get some tangible proof of what you say about YHWH — something more than “because we say so,” and that can’t just as plausibly be attributed to other causes — let’s get back in touch.

Re your dismissive comment about lawyers: The next time one of your kids gets unjustly hauled in by an overzealous local cop, or you get cheated by a business partner, or any of a myriad other problems, by all means call on your favorite theologian to redress the problem — yeah, sure, that’s the ticket.

  12. Brian from T19 says:

The ONLY argument against same-sex marriage is religious. There is no other sound argument. Since the only argument is religion, then the State has no business establishing religious belief. We don’t live in a Theocracy and thank God we don’t!

  13. Ralph says:

Signing back on again against my better judgment…
    Luke 16:19-31
    Luke 10:25-37

Thank God that we live in a Judeo-Christian theocracy where marriage is the union of one man and one woman. If it takes a national constitutional amendment to solidify it, then so be it.

  14. Dee in Iowa says:

I wish you could have seen the Des Moines Register this morning….we’re all going to get rich by this decision…..I can hardly wait for my share…….yeah…..
