National Catholic Register: Ultrasound Trumps Culture of Death

Abby Johnson, who had worked at the Planned Parenthood in Bryan, Texas, for the past eight years and had directed the Bryan business for the last two, resigned Oct. 6 after watching an ultrasound of an abortion procedure, reported the television station KBTX Nov. 1.

“I just thought, ”˜I can’t do this anymore,’ and it was just like a flash that hit me, and I thought, ”˜That’s it,’” said Johnson….

Johnson, an Episcopalian, has been meeting with the coalition’s executive director, Shawn Carney, and has prayed with volunteers outside Planned Parenthood. The world’s largest purveyor of abortion filed a temporary restraining order Oct. 30 against both Johnson and the Coalition for Life.

Way too short. This article raises more questions than it answers.

I have no idea if it is true, but it is commonly said in pro-life cirlces that the most pro-choice clergy are Unitarians and Episcopalians. I have no reason to doubt it. I am glad that this particular Episcopalian woman was able to see the light and break free from her role in this evil. Would that everyone involved would come to the same conclusion. But, truth, by its nature, conquers nations one soul at a time.

Compare this to Bishop Neff Powell of S.W.VA. who not only blessed a building of Planned Parenthood, but also served as its chair of the Board. Then last MLK day he made a press splash by being photographed painting the same building where tiny lives are ended. (The volunteers from local businesses backed out when they found out what they would be volunteering for). But “Planned Parenthood Powell” showed ’em, didn’t he?

I watched an interview with Abby Johnson on the Huckabee Show on fox last night. She had been a director of an abortion clinic until the day when she was called in to help with an abortion procedure. Watching the baby in the process of being killed changed her perspective 100% and shortly thereafter, she left and joined Coalition for Life.

She made a statement on the show that abortion clinics are run for profit with abortions being made more and more efficient in order to process more abortions per day.

A close friend of mine who is NE Director for Bethany Christian (Adoption) Services. She says that this year it has been difficult to provide children to the long waiting list of adoptive parents.

I believe (though I cannot substantiate this) that Christian services of this kind are one more target of liberal activists who are favourable to Planned Parenthood. This is another example of activist attacks on Christian organizations (remember attacks on the Catholic Adoption services in Massachussetts (and in England)??
