SMH: Anglicans argue for fewer kids

The Anglican Church wants Australians to have fewer children and has urged the federal government to scrap the baby bonus and cut immigration levels.

The General Synod of the Anglican Church has issued a warning that current rates of population growth are unsustainable and potentially out of step with church doctrine – including the eighth commandment ”thou shall not steal”.

    #3: You may also be thinking of the Hollywood film from the 1970’s, SOYLENT GREEN, where in a not-so-distant over-populated future citizens reaching a certain age are required to die (by the introduction into the body of a supposedly painless lethal chemical concoction while one gets to experience a mind-blowing multi-media presentation to stimulate final dreaming) – and then where what hero Charlton Heston finds out to his horror is that the government is processing the bodies of the deceased are into food to keep the surviving masses fed.

    If certain Anglican Churches really want to promote this policy, TEC has a program called “Blessing of Same Sex Couples” that promises to be extremely effective at limiting population growth. They should check it out!
