Very little, if any, information was given by these two bishops.
George is absolutely correct. The word of the day was “conversation.”
(used 19X by one account) — respectful, deep, broad CONVERSATION.
Several reporters, notably Neela Bannerjee of NYT and others did ask some good questions about response to Dar Communique, but they didn’t get any hard answers.
Baby Blue has a live blog of the press conference here:

Will TEC wear out the media’s patience as well?
[i}LOL, L2! Great question, we were wondering the same thing![/i]
Having dealt with Bishop ONeill on numerous occasions, this is exactly what you get when you talk with him. He always uses the party line about “conversation”, and he always downplays any communique. With him it’s “all is well”. He is difficult to trust because He doesn’t acknowledge the seriousness of the situation. As some have commented on SF, his smugness leaves a lot to be desired. It’s the way he is. He is really disappointing to the orthodox in Colorado.
