FT: Google ditches Windows on security concerns

“We’re not doing any more Windows. It is a security effort,” said one Google employee.

“Many people have been moved away from [Windows] PCs, mostly towards Mac OS, following the China hacking attacks,” said another.

Of course as people move to other systems, this will make hacking those systems that much more attractive.

I think Google is doing this simply to tweak Microsoft. I don’t trust Google; their motto – “Don’t Be Evil” always reminded me of the book “Animal Farm”

Hacking GNU-Linux is much more challenging, as it has “deny-by-default” permissions, rather than windows “permit-by-default” permissions.
