  1. Br. Michael says:

What ever she is, Shori is not a Primate. She is only the Presiding Bishop of the House of Bishops.

  2. Fr. J. says:

It is this very concept of “church” that provides abundantly for heresy with accountability to no one. If one can see the flaws in this set up, one much be even more dismayed at the structures of the ACNA, which is just a matter of generations from its own falls into heresy because it is fundamentally cut off from universal accountability.

  3. Creighton+ says:

I believe in GC 1997 Primate was added as the title to the Presiding Bishop…of course, this was politically motivated and the Presiding Bishop does not have the authority of a Primate even though she believes she does.

  4. Albany+ says:

    Michael Sean,

“I’m a fish but I have no gills.”

This kind of abuse of language and meaning in TEC is mischief of the highest order and an assault on truth. In our present mess, it has allowed the PB to advance and retreat as best suits the political advantage of the moment. Presiding Bishop and Primate in the same title is saying “I’m a fish but I have no gills” or a bike without wheels etc.

A Big Fish in a little shrinking pond….

    A shark, even.
    Well, an oceanographer would know.
