NPR–Strange Fruit: The Anniversary Of A Lynching

This is a must-listen-to (reading it really won’t work here, it will ruin the real impact in this case). I caught it in the car by accident–it is unspeakably powerful. Please be advised that the contents would not be appropriate for some blog participants–KSH.

Remarkable testimony – I listened to it all, and also to this.

White supremacy often blinds us to the African -American struggle, with the furor of hell that was unleashed on them for hundreds of years without any avenue of escape except the the God of Moses and Jesus. One day this country will finally acknowledge that the black struugle in North America was and is biblical in scope and nature.
