He was, as a number of you know, the retired part-time Professor of Classics at the University of King’s College and at Dalhousie University, Halifax, Nova Scotia, among many other things. His health in recent years has been, alas, steadily declining.
There is a wonderful page where some of his writings are collected here.
I was at the Atlantic Theological Conference this summer where I had hoped to meet Fr. Crouse, but his health was not up to it. He is an inspiration to many a Canadian Anglican.
For those who preach from the Historic Lectionary, I would recommend the website Lectionary Central where one can peruse the writings, sermons, and resources of Fr. Crouse and others who have committed their lives to the catholic faith as espoused in the classic Book of Common Prayer. May Dr. Crouse rest in peace. Thank God for his life and ministry.
God holds our dear friend in his Memory Eternal!
He offered a voice of sanity, a heart of piety, and a welcome twinkle during absurd moments as we struggled together for the health of the Church.
