The Dio of Nebraska is not a pretty picture. The near future is dismal with only 10 of its 56 churches (18 percent) having Plate & Pledge of more than $150K in 2009. It was the ONLY TEC diocese with less than 25 percent (with Plate & Pledge of more than $150K) while having one of the 60 Largest Cities in the USA (Omaha at Number 33). Even worse, 75 percent of its churches had ASA of 66 or less in 2009. Given that few , if any, churches with ASA of 66 or less ever attain the $150K level, it is almost impossible for Nebrasla to ever reach the 25 percent mark. The only feasible way is to close (at least 6) small churches. Not an attractive option for a new bishop Statmann.
