On a Personal Note–The Youngest Daughter Graduates from The Hill School Today

Selimah Marie Harmon was born in Oxford, England, in 1993–how could she be done with secondary school already? Where does the time go?–KSH.

For one picture of her [singing] you can go here and look at photo #1 (she is in the middle, closest to the front).

You may also find the schedule here and, if interested, you may read about the school there.

It looks quite like an English School, particularly the chapel, and apart from the strange posts planted in the playing fields. You must be very proud of your daughter. Congratulations to her.

When I went to these sort of things at my school in the seventies, a great many mothers wore brightly colored mushrooms and meringues on their heads. It was hilarious.

  3. Bookworm(God keep Snarkster) says:

Well, it seems to be good if one auctions off her mushroom or meringue for charity. 🙂

On Easter Sunday, I got a lot of compliments on my chapeau, but it was a picture hat, not one of the wild fascinators, mushrooms, or meringues.

Congratulations to Selimah! May her future be ever bright!
Just a point of trivia — wasn’t The Hill School the one which accepted Tobias Wolfe in “This Boy’s Life”?
