He will, even so, have an essential role in the life of the nation as well as the Church of England and the worldwide Anglican Communion. It is to articulate, in an age of doubt and pluralism, the essential Christian virtue of love in theological terms, and strive to make the Church its vehicle….

The problem as I see it is that, if they’re trying to select an archbishop who will try to satisfy everyone, they’ll end up with a man who will satisfy no one.
