Al-Qaeda-linked rebels in Syria have killed an Italian Jesuit priest who disappeared in the east of the country late last month, the Syrian Observatory for Human Rights said.
Paolo Dall’Oglio, a vocal supporter of the uprising against Syrian President Bashar al-Assad and some Islamist rebel groups, disappeared in the rebel-held city of Raqqa on July 29.
I suppose Rowan Williams will be happy to tell the family of the dead priest to get over it and just grow up.
Prayers.for this man, and with a remembrance for the two missing Orthodox bishops. May the Light since forth into darkness.
Yes, we should think of the missing bishops and pray for resolution of this cruel event. I cannot help but think that even in the chaos of Syria there must be lots of people who know what happened to them – and who are keeping silent. Shame on them!
