    Ga Tech vs. Cumberland.
    GT 200+ points.

The title of the book about the game is something like “You dropped the Ball, you pick it up.” I heard that Cumberland brought in some ringers the year before and beat up on Tech. The lopsided win of 222-0 was to get them back. Some of the Cumberland players later became well-known in the government and the military. The University is in Lebanon, Tennessee and drew students from the old Castle Heights Military Academy in Lebanon. The Cumberland Law School is now part of Samford University in Birmingham. Cumberland seems to be doing well today. Continuing with college football trivia, what is the significance of C6-H0(zero)?

#2–Is it Centre College v. Harvard score?

  4. Langley Granbery says:

Yes, good job! In 1922 or 1923, Centre beat Harvard 6-0. The game was in Cambridge. The win is still a big deal at Centre. I only know this because one of my daughters went to Centre in little Danville, KY.
