Two of the pink elephants are (1) the effort to normalize same-sex sex and in doing so break with the large number of Anglicans world wide who find spiritual authority in Lambeth resolution 1.10 and (2) the large sums spent on law suits against those who dissent from this effort.
What utter claptrap. We are going to re-imagine (whatever that means exactly because you have had to imagine something first before one re-imagines it) the Episcopal church by being a committee that creates other committees to reshape existing committees.
I pray God to take away my angry reaction when I hear or see anything like “we are a church where you don’t need to leave your mind at the door” and to please give me a Godly response to the person throwing down that maddening phrase.

I would just ask that committee if they had any more silly ideas for “re-imagineering” TEC. They have gotten quite “creative,” it seems.
