The list of participants is very interesting. There certainly are some good, faithful bishops from the Global South that can’t be accused of accepting some sort of bribe (i.e., an expenses-paid trip to a pleasant spot) when they should know better than to participate in a sham exercise that can lead nowhere since there is no prospect of real reconciliation between two utterly incompatible parties within contemporary Anglicanism. I respect many of the GS leaders who attended. And, of course, it’s important that ++Justin Welby was one of the participants too.

Nonetheless, I do think thw whole exercise is a vast waste of time and effort. The only reconciliation worthy of the name will take place only when the self-decieved purveyors of a false gospel repent of their damnable errors. And there isn’t the faintest glimmer of hope that I’ve seen for that to happen.
