    A couple comments from the photos.
    1. There seem to be as many onlookers/staff/media as there are actual praying Muslims.
    2. Good Muslims pray facing towards Mecca, which in DC would be generally eastward. These folks were in the north transept, apparently sitting/kneeling at a diagonal, and were facing NORTHEAST — towards Baltimore…..?

    The event was invitation-only, so it is not as though any area Muslim was able to attend.
