  1. The Rev. Father Brian Vander Wel says:

I’m amazed that: 1) they are still meeting 2) ++Beach is still present 3) attendance, demeanor, readings at evening prayer seems to be our only bellwether.

I’m praying for truth and clarity. No political handling or spin.

  2. Kendall Harmon says:

For myself, I try to focus on words or images that the Lord brings to mind. For me, those words are–strength, truth, boldness and love.

  3. Katherine says:

I’m with Dr. Harmon. I pray the Gafcon/GS group are empowered to speak the truth in love.

The reported attempt to use the Delphi technique once again sounds like a serious mistake by +Welby, and may sway some more “moderate” non-Europeans towards holding the scriptural line. I hope so.

  4. Milton Finch says:

    Matthew 13:58

  5. SC blu cat lady says:

My prayers during this week have been directed at two groups of primates.
    1) Primates of TEC(+Curry) and AcofC (+Hiltz). My prayers for them centered on the Holy Spirit convicting them of the wrongness of the actions of their respective churches. I asked that the Holy Spirit put them through agony and torment (this was especially true early in the week – Monday and Tuesday) and come to full repentance before the rest of the primates gathered in Canterbury. Well, I don’t know if the Holy Spirit convicted them in anyway or if they just blew him off. The second set of prayers were for the GAFCON and GC primates.

    2) My prayers for the GAFCON and GC primates centered on the Holy Spirit bringing them strength and encouragement as they continue to discuss with the rest of the primates. I think these prayers may have been heard at least in part as there has been feedback that the primates could feel the prayers and they did have the strength to discuss things clearly and some of the other more moderate GC primates have now been educated as to what has happened in TEC. That knowledge has lead some of the GS primates to fully align themselves with the GAFCON primates. I think this *gathering* will lead to growth for GAFCON and GFCA. I pray that it be so…..
