The Thanksgiving OT lesson from Deuteronomy warns that we get into as much (or more) spiritual trouble in prosperous abundance than in times of adversity.
This is timely as we are getting the first bunch of “lay offs” and other shaking in our congregation. Sioux Falls has been somewhat sheltered compared to other parts of the country.
Governor Rounds of SD just ordered a state hiring freeze, too.
