The Church of England’s Committee for Minority Anglican Concerns hailed his election as a ”˜truly redemptive moment’ for the USA.

The group’s chair, the Rev Rose Hudson Wilkin, said: “The election last November of Barack Obama as the 44th President of the USA, culminating in his inauguration this week, is a most momentous occasion.

Poor choice of words, particularly for someone in a position of church leadership. Better to say that Obama’s inauguration marks another step away from the legacy of slavery and institutionalized racism.

I pray that all the archbishops, bishops, and clergy in the CoE, TEc, CAC, and in institutional Anglicanism honestly believe, teach, proclaim, and preach that The Birth Of Christ Was a Truly Redemptive Moment in History and Forever.

Obviously, the Anglican Church presently have more men and women of the cloth who seem to be better on the soap box than on the pulpit.
    Pray for the Church.
