Tarrant, elected May 9 by the state’s Episcopalians, will lead Holy Eucharist, and Simpson will preach on his first Sunday as leader of the congregation.

The TEC Bishop-elect served a congregation in Pierre, the same place where the current ELCA South Dakota Synod bishop served before his election. Given the abysmal state of relations between TEC and the ELCA in South Dakota, this could have been a good thing if it weren’t for the current state of heterodoxy in both denominations. Anyone have a clue what the new bishop thinks of TEC issues on homosexual relationships, non-celibate gay clergy, etc?

    Katie,
Blogger Tim Fountain+ (Northern Plains Anglican) had a lot of posts about +Tarrant before the election. If you go to his blog and search on Tarrant, I’m sure you can find a lot of info. Unfortunately I don’t remember the details off the top of my head.
