Catholic News Agency has a photo of this precious man. As if Nigerian Christians are not going through enough already with last week’s slaughter in Jos (the third in as many years, it seems), this abduction is heartbreaking.
Lord, we ask for the deliverance of Bishop Peter. Let your holy angels protect him in captivity and do battle on his behalf. Please, O God, have mercy on your servant, Peter, and just as you brought his namesake, Peter the Apostle, out of the prison, please rescue this precious shepherd of your people in Nigeria. For the sake of your Son, Jesus Christ.
