It’s commendable that the truth is finally coming out, 16 long years after the retired +Donald Davis was forced to resign his office and desist from ever again exercising a ministerial role.
That had to be a really hard letter to write. It is hard to read as his pain and concern are clear. How horrible for the victims!
Then, not so many years ago, it was indeed standard practice to keep such conduct out of the public eye. At least the diocese sought to do some healing and helping things for the girls. That is not enough but it is better conduct than one might expect.
So Edmond Browning covered it up for years. Hmmmmm.
