I got a lot of email about this meeting so in response let me say:

“It is a very important meeting as the standing committee is working hard on resolutions for our upcoming convention.”

Reading the roster info. on members of the Standing Committee, it appears to me the Charleston area is well represented. I cannot help but wonder why no one from the Georgetown/Myrtle Beach area not on this important committee.

Thanks for the “heads up”, Kendall. Yes, I will be praying for their meeting today. Ok. I offered my own short prayer for their meeting today. Just hope I am not too late.

@Qharbour, I could be mistaken but I believe the standing committee is elected at our Diocesan convention as the members serve 3 year terms of overlapping duration so only part of the committee is elected at any one convention.

PS This post and the one above are actually from SC Blu Cat Lady. Umm, Blu Cat Man is hard at work right now. Sorry, dear.

#2, there a lot of churches in Charleston, you could do a walking tour in a few hours by (6? 8?) of them. Beaufort County has 4 large churches yet only 1 rep., but I don’t think they need more.

I have faith in this group. We should pray for them.
