On the other hand once government funding becomes so invasive and pervasive government strings are more akin to a contract of adhesion. Such requirements could be voided as contrary to public policy or some other other limitation.

I am glad to see that Christians and others are challenging the secularists on this. St Paul was prepared to request enforcement of laws that favoured the spread of the gospel, and we christians should also be prepared to speak out. We may not win, and since our hope is in a higher place, it doesn’t matter if we don’t win. But we should at least throw out the challenge.
