Tried Chrome twice and didn’t like it either time. Firefox has much better customization options through third party add-ons. I would never surf the net anymore without AdBlock and NoScript running in my Firefox.

I find Chrome to be a superior browsing experience than firefox.

I switched to Chrome a couple months ago after Firefox became bloated in its memory usage on two of our older computers at home.

I used to use Firefox but I switched to Chrome a while back. Firefox gets to the point when you are adding those needed add-ons that it becomes slow and bloated in the memory usage department. I never was a big fan of it. Chrome has its draw backs, but it is simple and to the point.

#1 — Adblock is available, and there are also extensions that perform the same function as NoScript. See the Chrome Web Store.

Ditto on bloated Firefox. Chrome is much better.

Are any Chrome users worried about Google’s big brother tendencies?

  8. Archer_of_the_Forest says:

Well, there is Google’s big brother tendencies, which is a concern. However, having looked at the Firefox and other web browsers programming codes, I don’t think they are much better in the privacy department. Firefox claims to be, but really? You have to have all these third party add ons to make it functional? How safe is that?

  9. Don C says:

Archer, what about Firefox being non-profit and Google tracking every move for marketing?

  10. Archer_of_the_Forest says:

You think non-profit websites and apps don’t track people? I would argue they do all the more, particularly those weird 3rd party add ons from who knows what hacker.

  11. Don C says:

Archer, I’m sure you’re probably correct on this. However, I’m sticking with my instinct on this one.

I doubt either of them are really all that secure. If you want to be secure, stop using the internet.
