Read it all. . . or donate money to Planned Parenthood. . . or hit your thumb with a hammer. I’ll go for the hammer, thanks.

  2. Katherine says:

The implicit comparison of Bishop Lawrence to school shooters and Muslim terrorists is completely irrational. Given that Jefferts Schori herself is the one acting as a “petty Decider,” she might want to look at herself with more rational eyes.

And notice in her discussion of Acts 15 she leaves out the call to refrain from sexual immorality. Editing Scripture to take out the parts they don’t like has been a hallmark of the “progressive” movement.

The PB makes a big point about how decisions are better made by a group. Yes, in this case, the group (ie the Diocese of South Carolina) has indeed met and made many decisions together that have led to where we are today. What she can not understand is that the group has consulted and made a decision that goes against what she wants.

Are we to learn from her this: making decisions together as a group is fine as long at the group decision is in agreement with hers? If it is not, then she can come in and give the right answer to those who agree with her and declare all our decisions null and void? What about those of us who disagree with her? Are we supposed to just sit back and give back everything that generations here have worked for to some entity in NY? Really? That is delusional, irrational thinking to me and to many others here.
