Actually, the headline should not read “Should Teachers at Christian Schools, Daycares Have Unemployment Benefits?” They probably should. The question is — does a government have the authority to require the religious institutions in question to participate in the state unemployment program, and, if it does, is that a prudential exercise of that authority?
1, and if so how is that really different from the health care mandate? Unemployment v government control. I say no to government control.
