  1. Pb says:

“our connectedness to God and all that is.” This somes up her theology – pantheism. Her description of Halloween is different from mine, also.

  2. Pigeon says:

    “God’s dream”?

  3. David Keller says:

I read the sermon and kind of scratched my head. Then I had a revelation–don’t try to analyze Kathryn Jefforts Shorey. Just ignore her.

  4. Terry Tee says:

Every priest has their ‘off’ day when you not only preach a mish-mash, but to your horror actually hear yourself preach it. Nothing you can do except plough grimly on and pray that next time the Holy Spirit will give you the words you need.

  5. David Keller says:

Terry Tee–KJS NEVER gives a good sermon. In fact, this one was at least coherent and contained no overly blatant heresy, which IS a good day for her.

  6. Cennydd13 says:

Who gives a fig whether or not that non sequitur preaches at St Squid’s In the Sea?

    4. Terry Tee, That woman had been well and thoroughly documented, on this website, among others, to be a raving heretic. Certainly the Holy Spirit can use anyone He chooses, but KJS? Come on…. Is there anything you have seen in her behavior that would suggest that she is intentionally open to divine inspiration?
