Notable and Quotable–A.S. Haley on the Mismanagement and Stewardship of TEC's legal Wars

From here:

For [the National Episcopal Church at] 815 [Second Avenue in New York City] to continue to pour money into the current property litigation in both those States is nothing less than an actionable waste of charitable resources on a purely punitive mission, and as such is a breach of fiduciary duty at the highest level.

“With the recent report that disciplinary charges have already been filed against the Presiding Bishop (about which more later), it seems that she wants to add fuel to the fire. This cannot turn out well — either for ECUSA, or for the Most Rev. Katharine Jefferts Schori.”

    That’s intriguing.

Sorry for the double post – but this had escaped me:

I agree with Mr Haley – this cannot turn out well. Surely it will be ignored. I also agree with Mr Haley that there has been (at least the appearance of) financial mismanagement, and I do see it as a breech of fiduciary duty.

    This is intriguing.

As usual, A. S. Haley is spot on. So lucid. So convincing.

Neither TEC’s leadership (whether the utterly self-deceived majority of the HoB or the Executive Council) nor the loathsome PB will get the least sympathy from me. Both fully deserve whatever punishment gets meted out to them.

It’s Lent. Because we are all sinners, we fully deserve whatever punishment is appropriate. The PB and her minions may or may not receive temporal punishment, but someday they’re gonna have some ‘splainin’ to do. Right now, I suspect that at least some of them think that what they’re doing is just, despite the resounding calls to repentance from all over Christendom.

May God open their eyes, unstop their ears, and thaw their frozen hearts – before they melt by another means.

No indication at all as to who they are, that I can see.

I tend to agree that it is unlikely to get anywhere – Jefferts Schori will fall when the *liberals* in TEC get sick of the cost of the law-suits, not when the minority traditionalists complain.
