(CEN) American decadence a sign of the end times, Nigerian Archbishop warns

The creeping acceptance of homosexual conduct as a moral good may be a sign that the end times are near, the Primate of the Church of Nigeria has warned.

In an interview published by the Church of Nigeria News, Archbishop Nicholas Okoh said the cultural hostility towards Christian morality in the West and the celebration of lust as godliness was a sign that “we are getting deeper and deeper into the age that was spoken of by Timothy when people will love themselves more than God, when the pleasure and comfort will determine many things.”

“We are in the end time and in this end time there are boundless opportunities of evil,” the archbishop said on April 7 drawing upon 2 Tim. 3:2, but added “but the joy of it all is that evil will not win in the end.”

No disrespect, but the title and message should be amended to use the word, Western. Decadence is not just an American problem. The UK and Canada have led or exceeded the US in decadence and the defense and embrace of euthanasia, homosex, eugenics, syncretism, etc. The US Anglican church has just been more overt and rebellious. Be mindful that in the UK, priests have been granted spousal benefits for same-sex partners and in Canada, the HRC has gone overboard in prosecuting perceived ‘hate’ of homosexuality. No disagreement can be tolerated in the West where the church, government and culture (and even the psychology and psychiatry associations) have been conditioned with propaganda, assaulted, bullied and taken over by the pansexual agenda. No one can say this activity and orientation is unhealthy, despite the fact that in the US and Canada, 18-20% of male homosexuals have AIDS and are 44 times more likely to have other STDs as well. No one can say it is unholy and proscribed by God who knows what harms human beings, despite all the proof in Scripture. No one can say homosexual behavior is unhappy, correlated with mental and emotional distress, despite the correlation of homosex inclination with depression, addiction, violence and suicide. Facts don’t lie. See the March 2010 and other CDC reports.

The UK, USSR and Asia exceed the US abortion rates.

Confessor, when we cite the March 2010 and CDC reports, the LBGTQ lobby starts screaming bloody murder……claiming discrimination. Every single time! It is time to put an end to this insanity!

What we are watching is not the end of the world, but the end of the 20th century. In short, all the chickens we hatched over the last one hundred years are coming home to roost. They are tired, old, and filled with disease. There are a lot of them, they are dying and we don’t know how to dispose of the bodies. Larry

    Good to hear.
[blockquote] “The “irony of the situation” was that Britain had brought the Bible to Nigeria, but now Britain was saying the practices condemned by the Bible “are right. Thank God we are not very confused, we are not confused at all,” he said.

For the African churches along with “some parts of Australia, some part of America, some parts of United Kingdom” the Scriptural condemnation of homosexuality was reinforced by the lessons of natural law. Nor was a plea to sentiment persuasive to the Nigerian Church.” [/blockquote]
    Amen.
