U.S. support for Iranian pastor continues to grow

Reports by the semi-official Fars News Agency indicated that the charges against Nadarkhani have since changed and the pastor is now charged with rape and extortion.

“He is a Zionist and has committed security-related crimes,” Gholomali Rezvanii said in the Fars News report. Renvanii is the deputy governor of Gilan province, where Nadarkhani was tried and convicted.

The White House and State Department released statements on Thursday and Friday, respectively. The White House stated that Nadarkhani “has done nothing more than maintain his devout faith, which is a universal right for people.”

Read it all and there is a lot more there.

Sooner or later (and sooner would be much better) we are going to have to wake up in this world, stop the “tolerance” nonsense, and call a spade a spade. Islam is a false religion, and those who practice it are nut-cases. Sharia law is pure evil, in that it forces thought control through physical means, even capital means, and the civilized world is going to have to move to take control of this situation before it takes control of us. This little episode in Iran is merely an indicator, but give it 100 years or so, and our grandkids will not know what hit them.

He refused to renounce his faith, faces death, and now these additional charges appear seemingly out of nowhere probably in hopes of swaying public opinion. Simply terrible. Prayers for him and all involved.

We need to pray for, and if possible write in support of, Pastor Nardarkhani, and the many being persecuted in Iran right now.

Lord, in your mercy, hear our prayer.

It is amazing how muted is the media coverage of this tragedy( or soon to be atrocity). I have been looking regularly in the Boston Globe print edition (the NY Times New England mouthpiece) and still haven’t seen any mention of this case– not even in its World section mini-stories round-up section.
On the other hand Fox Cable News has mentioned this horrendous situation quite frequently.
