One comment on “(Radio NZ) Anglican training wananga aims to improve performance

  1. MargaretG says:

[blockquote] A private institute which trains Maori Anglican ministers has failed to meet standards set by the New Zealand Qualification Authority (NZQA).

The report finds that, while 60% of students successfully completed courses, only 16% obtained a qualification.

But, Mr Hakaraia says the institution is looking at ways to improve on its statistics. [/blockquote]

This is not the only training institution in the Anglican church here that seems to be having trouble. Last years General Synod saw a restructuring of the main training institution, St Johns, which had also been split along ethnic lines.

I hope through that the institution looks to improve its performance … not just to massage its statistics.
