Clergy of the Diocese of South Carolina are meeting [today] to discuss an Episcopal Church investigation of allegations against the local bishop.

Read it all.

Please pray for our meeting today–thanks; KSH.

Update: I see Saint Michael’s, Charleston, has called for a special parish meeting on all these matters this coming Sunday

Fear not, little flock; for it is your Father’s good pleasure to give you the kingdom.

    From the 1662 BCP–
ALMIGHTY God, the giver of all good gifts, who of thy divine providence hast appointed divers Orders in thy Church; Give thy grace, we humbly beseech thee, to all those who are to be called to any office and administration in the same; and so replenish them with the truth of thy doctrine, and endue them with innocency of life, that they may faithfully serve before thee, to the glory of thy great Name, and the benefit of thy holy Church; through Jesus Christ our Lord. Amen.

I was thinking of the hymn:
The strife is o’er, the battle done
The victory of life is won
The song of triumph has begun, Alleluia!
The battle has now been joined and no matter how it may appear, Schori and Henderson will ultimately lose.

Dear Lord, be with all of the members of the Diocese of South Carolina in this trying time. May they continually rely on you, and find you mighty to save. Show them the ways in which you want them to walk. Give particular wisdom to Bishop Lawrence and all those in positions of leadership as they respond to these actions. May your love be powerfully at work here. We give all these matters into your hands, and ask that we can be obedient to you. In Jesus’ name, Amen
