(Reuters) David Rohde–For American-Muslims, dread

Friday morning, four Pakistani-American doctors dressed in business suits and medical scrubs sat in one of this city’s most popular breakfast spots and fretted. At an adjacent table, a middle-aged woman grew visibly nervous when their native land was mentioned. One of the doctors, a 47-year-old cardiologist, was despondent.

“We were all praying this wouldn’t happen,” he told me. “No matter what you do in your community, that’s the label that is attached.”

How about speaking out against terrorism? How about reporting radicals to the FBI? That is what you should do in your community. I would like to think I would speak out against a Christian group called the Last Crusade which committed acts of terror against so called infidels.

So what kind of programs are being promoted in his mosque to prevent young muslims from radicalizing? From all the information we have, it seems that the mosque in Boston that these boys attended was not doing anything to prevent this kind of thing, on the contrary, it seems the mosque was promoting divisiveness. If the Imam’s are not fighting this, then it will not stop. If the Imam’s are preaching hate, then young men will hate. While US muslims may actually have moderate Imam’s, and we know that at least some mosques DO NOT have moderate Imam’s, the majority in the world are preaching hate and Jihad….

The bad very often outweighs the good, and this includes the good and the bad in religion. The goals and the intent of radical Islam are, for all intents and purposes, intertwined with the good found in so many Muslims……most of whom abhor violence and only want to live their lives in peace and tranquility with their neighbors. A good example of this was, until recent years, the situation in the Balkans until Islamic radicals brought chaos and destruction among people who had lived in harmony for centuries…..and turned neighbor against neighbor. Unfortunately, they have given all Muslims a bad name in the eyes of so many. The goal of Islamist radicals is to reestablish the power of the Caliphate, and they will stop at nothing to achieve it.

I wonder if they dread retaliation and revenge because Muslim religion and law encourages and rewards acts of retaliation and revenge.
